Until now very few Ortho labs had used any type of instrument for Labial indirect bonding and most of the methods used were what we like to refer to as “Eye and Hand” techniques, some using a crude bracket placement jig that could probably be better used directly by the Orthodontist themselves.

No attention being placed on the Horizontal Occlusal Line and the emphasis being placed in the actual pre-programmed brackets, although it’s hard to check the slot angles when you don’t have an instrument that can do it.

Hence after using the system successfully for the lingual work and improving our transfer tray system with a unique approach using the hard locking key inside the silicone and avoiding all thermo forming, which has a tendency to shrink and therefore probably move the brackets slightly…we decided to create the “IN-tendo” system for labial indirect bonding, probably one of, if not the most, precise labial system in the world today.
